Boredem led me to Las Vegas Craigslist. And I found this little beauty. Mmmm green.

I think it would look better without the black wheels. It tastes a fair bit of photo editing to make the wheels visible.

The price is high, but it’s had a full restoration and a 2.0 swap. With some go fast goodies. Overall it’s a clean build and I’d drive it just the way it is.

A bit up there, but given the repaint and build probably cost him a bit more than that. only questions would be what was swapped engine wise and if the carb conversion was due to a fire. luckily being vegas, there is good chance there is little rust.

Wow. 20k?

I really need to get the Creamsicl e cleaned up and sold. At least mine has the original steering wheel.

It’s certainly the most expensive 914 I’ve seen, but it’s also rust-free-est. the front and rear trunk pics are both so clean you could eat off them.

Never understood the rabid fanbase for these things. They're ugly, slow VWs masquerading as something they're not. But slap a Porsche badge on it, and people go nuts over it.

Back in the day my grandfather had a green 914, a 1.8 IIRC. I loved riding in that car as it was so much nicer than the orange Vega kamm back he drove before that. For years I thought that the 914 was rather ugly and liked the Chalon body kit (except for the overstyled B-pillar) , but as I’ve gotten older I’ve fallen in love with the quirky stock appearance. Maybe I’ll get a 914 some day, but I’ll probably just get a Miata...

Just like Gran Fury’s reply, but no vynil on the roll bar or roof panel.

(And currently no paint, hasn’t been driven in 20 years, sitting under a blanket cover, and half a country away...)

Handsome car. Simple lines. Price seems about right given the resto.
